Birding Lists

Anyone familiar with the hobby of Birding is well aware that "listing" is of major importance. Some Birders keep track of all the birds they see over their lifetime, which is commonly known as our "Life List". However, with the ease of relying on computers for sorting out our lists, Birders have extended their Life List to mean many things. In addition to the Life Lists, some of us now have Country lists, State lists, or even County lists. Many of us keep notes about our unusual sightings as they occur, which can include birds that have been tagged by any of a number of research organizations. In this section of the website, I try to show some of the ways in which "listing" can be a fun, and informative, endeavor!

Over the past few years, I've kept track of all the species of birds I've been fortunate enough to photograph. To view all my firsts, and some information pertaining to just what went into each sighting, check out my Life List!

In addition to my Life List section, I've tried to keep track of some of the more interesting birds I've seen over the years. These include vagrants, out-of-season birds, or noteworthy changes in typical plumage!

Occasionally, birds will show up in my photographs, that have been banded by any of a variety of research organizations. I've tried to provide some information on each bird here, like where else it may have been sighted!

Since eBird does not offer a means for users to view other user's reports, I have listed out all of my reports in a table here on my website. Within the reports you will find a full checklist of species seen, photographs & info from the outing!
