September 2026
/September was a difficult month locally, though I spent the first few days out-of-state, and the last third unable to make it out birding. Passerine migration exploded over the weekend of the 26th and 27th, but birds were only trickling through the rest of the month up until that point, which is pretty typical in Virginia Beach. I did enjoy some trips out of the city though, and had a great time up at Grandview in Hampton one morning though I couldn’t seem to time visits to the Eastern Shore properly, and the time I spent there was also pretty quiet. Nonetheless, I took a lot of photographs I was excited about this month, and so I put together my favorites into this album.
